Delaware Historic Tax Credits
Thirty percent of the state's yearly allocation of HPTCs is reserved for projects in Downtown Development Districts. Eligible projects must include buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places and must adhere to the U.S. Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Historic Preservation. Projects for income-producing properties may receive up to 20% in credits for allowable rehabilitation expenses; residential projects may receive up to 30% in credits for allowable rehabilitation expenses. Income-producing projects may also be eligible for additional federal historic preservation tax credits.
